My name is Thomas Doherty, and I've been repairing and replacing roofs across Bristol for over 20 years.

I got into roofing because I genuinely enjoy the work. There's something satisfying about stripping back a failing roof, understanding exactly what went wrong, and leaving a home properly protected for the next 30 to 50 years. Not many trades give you that kind of tangible result.

What I didn't enjoy — and what pushed me to go out on my own — was watching homeowners get taken advantage of. Storm chasers knocking doors after a gale. Quotes that doubled once the scaffold went up. Silicone slapped over leadwork and called a repair.
